In the summer many like to regale on juicy water-melon pulp, and here water-melon crusts often go to a trash can. And it is possible to do tasty jam of crusts or to make interesting spicy snack.
It is required to you
- For four portions:
- - 3 liters of water;
- - 6 glasses of water-melon crusts;
- - glass of apple cider vinegar;
- - glass of sugar;
- - salt, celery seeds, cracked ginger, turmeric, dry mustard.
Instruction
1. Cut water-melon crusts with very thin strips. Don't cut a green part - use only a white part of crusts, from it soft and tasty snack will turn out.
2. Boil three liters of water in a pan, add to it water-melon crusts, you cook three minutes. After that drain water.
3. On a frying pan pour out sugar, vinegar, mustard, ginger, a turmeric, salt, celery seeds. Amount of spicery on your discretion. Pour in a little water in spicery, bring to the boil. Reduce fire, you cook a couple of minutes, stirring slowly.
4. Put water-melon strips in a frying pan, prepare half an hour, without covering with a cover. All liquid has to be evaporated.
5. Cool spicy snack, shift in a container with a tight cover. Such original snack from water-melon crusts with unique aroma of spices can be served with fish or ham.
