Alcoholic products differ from alcohol-containing in the minimum content of alcohol which is measured at a stage of full readiness. Besides, the alcohol-containing products can also be nonfood whereas alcoholic products are produced only from a food raw material.
Definitions of concepts of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products contain in Article 2 of the Federal law of 22.11.1995 No. 171-FZ. The baking plate is understood by alcohol-containing products according to the specified norm food, nonfood products, the content of ethyl alcohol in which at a stage of readiness is not less than one and a half percent from total amount.
At the same time alcoholic products are exclusively food, it can be made both with use of ethyl alcohol, and without its use. If in production of alcoholic products ethyl alcohol is applied, then it is received from a food raw material. Besides, at production of alcoholic products the alcohol-containing food products can be used, and the minimum content of alcohol in alcohol has to be not less than a half of percent from total amount.
What do the main distinctions consist in?
Thus, the main difference between alcohol-containing and alcoholic products consists not only in alcohol content, but also in purpose. So, alcoholic products are produced only for the use therefore at its production only the food raw material is used. The alcohol-containing products can be nonfood, and the food alcohol-containing products aren't used for the direct use, but can serve as one of components for alcoholic products. For this reason these types of products differ rather significantly. So, a striking example of alcohol-containing nonfood products is usual perfumery.
What is meant these types of products?
Alcoholic products include alcoholic beverages known to all. They are subdivided into alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, wine drinks, mead and some other types. The alcohol-containing food products aren't crossed from alcoholic in any way, but can serve as raw materials for production of some of its types. So, examples of alcohol-containing food products are the wine mash or beer wort applied on the corresponding types of production activity. The nonfood alcohol-containing products differ from alcoholic products even more as it can't be used for the direct use under no circumstances, serve only for the economic, medical, cosmetic and other similar purposes.
