What is GMO
Literally GMO is deciphered as ""genetically modified organism"". Or, speaking more simply, an organism with changed - as a result of special intervention - a genotype. The plant or an animal who got the changed gene independently in natural process of life, are called mutated. In other words, there was a mutation - change of one or a number of genes. Whereas process of artificial intervention in a chromosomal chain of an organism is called gene modification. In fact, the difference between these concepts tends to zero.
GMOs have such characteristic, favorable to the producer, as pathological resistance to different viruses, mushrooms and other harmful effects. Artificially modified genes don't change and don't disappear. The side effects caused by them, as a rule, are irreversible.
