As for the manganese which is a part of beet, it raises the organism resilience to illnesses. This substance prevents diseases of heart and osteoporosis and also stabilizes metabolism. Magnesium, copper and iodine also are a part of beet. Concerning magnesium it is possible to note that it calms nervous system. Copper promotes production of female sex hormones. Iodine normalizes activity of a thyroid gland.

It should be noted that in root crops there is a large amount of the pectins exempting intestines from hazardous substances.

We will remind that most of all vitamins contain in fresh beet. However if it isn't pleasant to you in such look, you can boil it. At the same time the general content of useful substances in a product will decrease slightly.
