Whether excess weight is dangerous to teenagers?

hypertension arises not only at elderly people, but also at children. Very often children of teenage age have this disease. However, not all and not always in due time it is found. From teenage age, such bodies as begin to suffer because of the long and increased arterial blood pressure: heart, kidneys and vessels. People have more serious problems with health if except arterial hypertension there is also an excess weight.

Scientists from the Kharkiv Institute of health protection of children and teenagers of NAMN of Ukraine conducted researches. Experts examined 102 teenagers age from 13 to 18 years suffering from arterial hypertension. Teenagers were with different body weight. All of them felt on a miscellaneous. However, on feeling sick, warm and headaches complained teenagers of more well-fed constitution more often. Also, inspection showed that teenagers with normal body weight did not suffer from feeling sick, and also head and cardiac pains. At them because of arterial hypertension only increase in parameters of heart was noted.

The research showed that arterial hypertension very badly affects health, only in the presence of obesity.

Also, scientists proved that products with transfats have very much negative effect on health. Because of many diseases connected with obesity, the American agency on control of production of products promotes only healthy food without transfats. Specialists of this agency are confident that the refusal of such harmful products prevents among Americans annually 7000 fatal cases and nearly 20000 heart attacks.

Transfats to contain in many products. For an example in popcorn, the frozen pizzas, margarine and coffee cream. At refusal of such products the risk of development of diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases decreases.

In order that because of parents children did not suffer from a set of diseases it is necessary to follow such rules:

  1. It is impossible to overfeed children or to force to eat with a great effort.
  2. Always to watch the correct amount and a combination of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
  3. To break food into several receptions: 4-5, but at the same time it is impossible to have a bite.
  4. Not to award the child with food for certain actions.
  5. To give to the child the correct example in relation to food.
  6. To tell and encourage the child to healthy nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.
