Some problems arising in use plastic windows – opening closing of shutters, emergence of drafts, wedging of handles - can be eliminated by means of adjustment of accessories. For this purpose simple set of tools by means of which it is possible to adjust work of latching mechanism or knots of hinge plate independently is required.
Problem of sagging of shutters
For adjustment of shutters of plastic windows there are screws which are specially intended for this purpose – on two on the lower loops and on one on top. It is required to you: hexagonal wrench on 4 mm, the screw-driver cross, flat-nose pliers, oil for lubricant.
Adjustment on height can be necessary, for example, if the shutter has sagged and the bottom edge clings for frame – it is necessary from face of shutter to remove platband from the lower loop and to insert hexagon into the opened top opening. Inside the adjustment screw disappears. Rotation of key clockwise will raise shutter, against hour – will lower. It is necessary to check closing after each turn.
In the lower part of the same canopy the bolt regulating movement of shutter to the right-to the left is located. This bolt has two exits – from shutter and from slope. Turning of bolt clockwise or counterclockwise from any party of shutter, access to which is more convenient, leads to shutter shift to the left or to the right, it is necessary to check after each half-turn. It can be necessary if touches the left or right edge of the lower part of shutter frame. If the shutter is not closed because of side graze of upper part, then adjustment of the bolt which is sideways on the scissors mechanism is carried out. The hexagonal wrench which rotation try to obtain the shift of upper part of shutter to the right or to the left is here too used.
If in the house the draft has appeared
When thinning rubber sealant and from under window shutters there can be draft. To cope with the arisen problem, it is necessary to adjust control of clamping effort. For this purpose at face of each shutter there are clowns (pins) – the acting cylinders hidden in cuts of stubs. For more dense clip the clown by means of flat-nose pliers rotates in the direction of window inside, for easing – in the direction of external.
Malfunctions with the handle
From long use the handle of a window can be loosened. To return it former stability it is necessary to pick up edge of the rectangular pad located directly under the handle and to turn all mechanism on 900. Under it two adjusting bolts which and need to be tightened with the help of the cross screw-driver will be found. If for turn of the handle when closing window it is necessary to put very big effort, then it is necessary to weaken clamping effort as it was described above and also to oil the lock mechanism lubricating or special WD-40 aerosol. For this purpose the lock should be removed, cleaned from pollution, to carefully grease all parts of latching mechanism and in the same order to establish it on the former place.
