8. Slanted green material of rye can be not closed up to the soil, and to put in compost pit. So you receive fine fertilizer for kitchen garden. Also it is excellent mulch. Spread out this grass in row-spacings of wild strawberry, tomatoes and eggplants, it will help to hold moisture in the earth and will provide plants with nutrients at decomposition.
