The correct installation of flue probably the most important aspect when it comes to operation of the wood-fired furnace or fireplace. Properly the established flue will take away all smoke, keeping inhabitants of the house safe from smoke and noxious gases.

1. Before establishing flue, get advice at experts about what type of the device will suit your furnace or fireplace. The thing is that there are flues which are capable to remove only excess moisture and steam, they usually thin-walled and are framed with decorative elements. Such devices are simply not capable to create the necessary draft for, for example, oven heating.
2. There are universal flues provided for and fire chambers and for the wood-fired furnace, and for fireplace. They are more expensive than normal but allow to change heating devices without analysis of walls and roof and the subsequent repair of the room.
3. There are three ways of installation of flue. In the first case the flue is established strictly vertically over the wood-fired furnace, connects to pipe which comes to an end over roof somewhere at distance of 90 centimeters. It is classical and most widespread way, it is easy in mounting and service.
4. The second method is called "outside and up" - the flue is connected outside to back wall of the house where the chimney is removed for the oven. The flue goes from there already up from the coupling to roof on house slope.
5. In the third case the flue is used for houses where roofs will be established at an angle to it. The different equipment, for example, square or figured brackets which will be necessary, for fixing of flue on roof is provided in this situation.
6. Other method of installation of flue is called osobnyakovy. This fine functional and design decision at which the flue is made of pieces of stone which give all the best around metal pipe. This type of installation of flue has to be carried out only by the licensed experts because if the laying is laid out incorrectly, the draft will not cope, will appear so-called "fire of flue", ignition, the fire.
7. Before installation of flue surely study its design features and remember that the pipe has to be high to prevent the fire and to ensure additional safety.
8. Whenever possible refuse bent tubes: to create good suction and draft the chimney has to be straight line.
9. Establish cover on flue pipe, in some places it is required under the law, but also it will protect design from birds, little animals and from normal rain.
