Carrots are very much appreciated at all fans of kitchen garden the high content of useful vitamins and microelements. But not all know how to grow up this vegetable culture. And this process always begins with the correct landing of carrots to the open ground in the spring.
Landing of carrots on personal plot includes several stages in the spring: preparation of the soil and seeds and crops.
Preparation of seeds of carrots
Seeds of carrots have the small sizes and small specific weight. Viability at them too rather low also does not exceed 80% of total. It is caused by the fact that on escapes the seeds ripen unevenly.
Before planting carrots, seeds need to be prepared for it correctly. They contain large amount of essential oils which prevent them to sprout. In order that to wash away them, seeds ret in water. It is better to grow up carrots on bed 20 cm high and up to 1 m wide. The soil is deeply dug over and level its surface rake. When to plant carrots in the spring
In spite of the fact that carrots cold-resistant culture, at early crops of seeds to the cold earth they can lie in the soil before emergence of shoots not less than three weeks. Therefore you should not hurry with landings. Ideal time for this purpose is the middle of May when the sun rather well warms up the soil.
