The pond at the dacha is not luxury goods for a long time. The artificial reservoir is capable not only to decorate the site, but also to create on it the special atmosphere of rest and pacification. Most it is not difficult to make twig at all. For this purpose neither special efforts, nor professional knowledge, nor expensive materials are required.

- - clay;
- - pebble;
- - old newspapers, artificial wool or glass wool;
- - butyl, polyvinylchloride or polyethylene film;
- - stones, turf, water plants.
Instruction
1. First of all choose the place at which the pond will be. Let it will be the open area of the earth which is constantly lit by the sun. You should not place pond under trees, otherwise the shadow from them will surely interfere with development and growth of water plants, and their roots will gradually destroy reservoir bottom.
2. The size and form of twig can be anyone, according to your desires and preferences. Remember that the more there will be volume of your pond, the it will be cleaner and more transparent to look.
3. Make coast of reservoir flat that water in it was almost at the level of the soil. So the pond will look more naturally. Create bottom in the form of terraces, first of which place at depth of several centimeters below height of water. It you will achieve peculiar transition from the land to water.
4. Choose form of twig according to the general plan of improvement of the site. Square, rectangular, round and oval reservoirs are perfectly combined with strictly planned garden, and the pond of irregular shape will excellently look in natural garden.
5. Begin construction of twig with excavation of ditch of the necessary size. Its depth has to be a little more conceived. Remove from bottom of the turned-out hole everything foreign objects: snags, stones, sticks, roots. Fill sand layer (5-10 cm) there.
6. If ditch bottom very stony, use instead of sand layer from any soft material, for example, of artificial wool, old newspapers, glass wool.
7. On the isolating layer put watertight coating. It can be butyl, polyvinylchloride or normal polyethylene film. To increase life cycle of this covering, put on it layer of the rich well kneaded clay (20-30 cm).
8. Lay impervious material as well on the coast with stock of 15-20 cm. It fix edges by clay and stones. Lay mix from clay and sand on bottom of twig, if necessary use pebble.
9. Decorate edges of ready twig with natural material: large stones, plants, turf. Decorate bottom various water plants planted in waterproof tanks or baskets.
