Description
Brugmansiya - perennial plant with large flowers which have the form of grammofonchik and publish refined aroma, especially in the evening. Only 6 species of this plant are known. They include treelike bushes and trees, up to 5 meters high. Big flowers, up to 25 cm in size, are painted in white, yellow, orange or pink, the brugmansiya also meets terry flowers. Brugmansiya thermophilic plant therefore for the winter he is moved away to the light and cool place where temperature is not lower than +8 degrees.

Care for brugmansiya

It is necessary to feed up brugmansiya throughout all season, each 10 days. Best of all complex fertilizers will be suitable for cultivated flowers. During blossoming the plant needs fertilizer with the increased content of potassium and phosphorus.
Cutting of plant is made in the early spring. It is necessary to delete the dry and damaged branches, the others should be truncated, for giving of form to flower.
The main wreckers of plant in garden are slugs, snails and plant louse. Apply fungicides to fight against plant louse, snails and slugs delete in the mechanical way.
Wintering
At fall of temperature at night up to +7 degrees, the brugmansiya is moved in the room. In such conditions, the flower continues blossoming until the end of the year. The room has to be spacious and light.
It is possible to apply two types of wintering:
The warm wintering assumes placement of tub with flower at window and preservation of the summer mode of watering. At additional lighting, blossoming continues also, as well as in garden.
The cold wintering takes place in the cool place. Rare watering, without allowing formation of lump. The plant can dump leaves. At emergence of new kidneys, the plant is transferred to light.
It is important to remember that all plant and seeds are poisonous. They contain psychotropic and toxic substances, but the size of these substances depends on grade and species of flower.
