Ceramic granite: characteristics, range of application and properties

Ceramic granite – the practical, durable and not too expensive material which is widely applied in construction. Artificial material perfectly replaces natural stone, and on some qualities even exceeds it. Porcelain tile – the most popular artificial finishing material consisting from the pressed under pressure of feldspar, quartz sand, kaolin clay. The necessary shade is given by mineral dyes. Process of production of unique material is difficult and includes several stages. At first the crushed components mix up, then pressed and burn at certain temperature. Thanks to the correct selection of components, ready material is not subject to influence of acids and alkalis, it is not abraded and does not slide.  

Big advantage of porcelain tile – low water absorption. Unlike natural stone, material does not absorb moisture and does not collapse. It allows to use artificial covering for external works and facings of rooms with the increased humidity: kitchens, bathrooms, pools, saunas.

On sale different types porcelain tiles are provided. Will be suitable for facing of floor opaque, walls and working surfaces spread the glossy or polished plates more often. Depending on wear resistance, material is divided into several groups. The floor covering of the first group can be used in rooms with low passability – for example, in apartments. Porcelain tile of the fifth group is suitable for finishing of industrial premises, railway stations and other similar places.

The tiles covered with color glaze are intended for finishing work. They are very elegant, but over time the covering can fade and lose gloss. Not less effectively the satined porcelain tile looks. Range of application of ceramic granite

The first samples of porcelain tile were released only for industrial needs. However the developing technologies have allowed to expand significantly gamma of materials, to improve their properties. Today the range of use of porcelain tile is almost boundless, plates actively use for construction and finishing work, paving of paths, production of furniture.

High-class artificial granite of firmness is suitable for facing of floors and walls in business and shopping centers, hotels, stations, restaurants. Durable and easy plates are ideal for restoration of facades of buildings.

The moisture impermeability, resistance to abrasion and chips allows to use artificial swore for finishing of pools, shower, locker rooms. Wall plates are demanded in construction, them fix on furring for creation of the modern ventilated facades.

Material is demanded also in house interior. Floor plates will be ideal for registration of halls, verandahs, balconies, loggias, kitchens. Tiles with the increased moisture resistance are irreplaceable in bathrooms. Porcelain tile is good also for registration of kitchens or dining rooms.
