Curbstone is quite often applied to road construction, when laying sidewalks. Its assignment is to protect roadsides from the various destroying influences, to strengthen cloth and to increase duration of its operation.
Curbstone is produced in different types. It can perform decorative function or to serve as necessary element in traffic-bearing surface design. With its help separate zone for pedestrians and the road for journey of cars. The border at frame of the sidewalks and paths which are laid out by tile does not allow to creep away to material and increases the term of its operation.
Range of application of borders
The onboard stone can be applied to separate traffic area on city roads, to frame green plantings, is used on highways. As finished products are exposed to considerable mechanical loadings, the main requirement to quality of material all the time – ability to transfer them for a long time.

Materials of production and characteristic of concrete
The border can be made of heavy or fine-grained concrete. The quality class is chosen from F100 to F300. When receiving borders 1 m long with use of fine-grained concrete it is recommended to involve vibropressing. Products 3 m, 6 m long make from concrete of high specific weight, in addition carrying out reinforcing.
Marking (writing options)
Marking of products – the graphical symbol representing group of letters and digits. Is formed on sample XX 1. 2. 3. 4 where XX are meant by stone type, the digit on the place 1 means product length, 2 – height, 3 – width, 4 represents radius of curvature and is specified not for all products. For example, in marking of BR 100. 30. The 15th last point is absent.
Marking is applied on face of products. The party has to contain not less than 10% of stones with designation.
Warehousing, packing, transportation
Curbstone is stored in stacks which height should not exceed two meters. It is necessary to use wooden laying. Attentive sorting according to the brand and the sizes is made.
To transport onboard stone from place to place, for safety it is packed into packages. Then fixing with use of wire or other devices is carried out.
Quality control
For quality control of curbstone observations, measurements of controlled indicators, determination of defects are made. For example, availability of cracks, except hardly noticeable surface at which width does not reach 0.1 mm is not allowed. Permissible deviations on linearity less than 6 mm. For commission of procedures of control the onboard stone is selected, using statistical sample in compliance of GOST.
