The glazing glass becomes more and more popular material. The reason of similar love to it would seem to fragile product such qualities of glazing glass as transparency, high wear resistance, fire safety, chemical inertness and faultless exterior are.

Different types of glass with any given advanced characteristics are developed for various purposes. Main types of glazing glass: - the laminated glass (triplex);

- wired glass; - tempered glass.

The laminated glass

The laminated glass represents complex from two or three sheets of glass connected among themselves by special film or the gluing structure that considerably increases safety of glass for people around. Mechanically such glass does not become stronger, however at destruction of this type of glasses, splinters do not scatter, and are kept in frame or door opening by film. Besides, the laminated glass differs in the raised noise isolation.

Triplexes are widely applied in automotive industry and also at construction of modern buildings from "glass and concrete".

Wired glass

Wired glass - is most often used on production, is produced in the form of sheet not bent cloth. It is high-strength kind of the glass strengthened from within by framework from the metal gauze. At production in the middle of leaf place the metal gauze. Most often apply welded steel grid, for improvement of quality of glass the grid with additional aluminum covering is often used. Thanks to the reinforced basis, such glass is capable to maintain considerable mechanical loadings, besides, at damage the splinters are fixed in framework and minimize possible damage to people around.

Tempered glass

Tempered glass is the kind of glass which has undergone special heat treatment. Glass is brought to melting temperature, then fast cooling with air follows. As a result of such influence, glass gets special characteristics among which the increased durability, resistance to mechanical influences. To tempered glass time is not terrible, it does not grow turbid and does not lose transparency. At destruction of tempered glass, glass splinters so small that constitute much smaller danger to people around, than splinters of normal glass.

Tempered glass is applied in interiors, at production of office furniture, seldom – in glass partitions.

Change of physical characteristics of glass by production of glazing glasses allows to keep all positive properties of glass, having minimized weaknesses, such as insufficient durability, instability to mechanical loadings, the high level of danger at destruction.
