When to plant gooseberry to the open ground
Ideal time for landing of gooseberry in garden or kitchen garden is the fall. Usually landing works will see since the end of September and to the middle of October. Generally it depends on weather patterns. If there are abundant rains, then it is better to wait a little because the gooseberry not especially prefers a lot of moisture. In the spring the plant takes root very badly and therefore it is better not to do it.
How to plant gooseberry
Under gooseberry it is better to choose moderately humidified place with good air permeability of the soil. Strong overwetting leads to appearance of various diseases on bush: lichens, mealy dew. Also the gooseberry perfectly grows on soils with the increased acidity. Pay special attention to planting stock. Before landing the earth is dug over and potash introduce necessary mineral fertilizers, for example. Landing holes have at distance 1.5 meters from each other.
