How not to turn horse-radish into weed and how to use as seasoning

Many complain that they are not able to afford to plant horse-radish. This culture quickly expands and turns into weed, it is difficult to get rid of it. Partly it so. But it is possible to fight against it nevertheless.

It is required to you

  • On 250 g of horse-radish:
  • - 400 ml of water,
  • - 2 h spoon of sugar,
  • - 1 h salt spoon,
  • - 2 h spoon of essence.

Instruction

1. I mow the first spring leaves along with herbage at the beginning of June because they are eaten around by some wreckers. And here we use harvest of the leaves which have grown repeatedly as seasoning when salting cucumbers. Besides, the bush of horse-radish gives decorative effect to garden lawn. Even when does not blossom.

2. Late in the fall I dig out part of roots (both the main root, and small backs), and I leave part in the earth. Carefully I wash out all material in flowing water. I do not throw out small backs, and I dry up, previously having cut them lengthways. At full drying they have to break with crunch. I store the dried-up backs in glass jar under kapron cover.

3. When the seasoning made since fall reaches a limit, I get backs, I grind them on the coffee grinder, I fill in with warm water. As soon as horse-radish stands", the sharpness appears - and seasoning is ready. For appearance it is possible to add beet juice.

4. Lousy seasoning from fresh root. I place polished gruel in the enameled pan and I fill in with abrupt boiled water. I close densely cover and I wrap up in towel. So I am insolent before full cooling. Then I add sugar, salt, acetic essence. Properly I stir everything and I display on banks.
