Now at abundance at acquaintances, neighbors of interesting and original grades of coniferous cultures there is a wish to have the same plants and at itself in garden. Especially? the prices in nurseries for some grades very much bite. There is nothing more simply - ask to allocate you couple of branches from the pleasant plant and find for process of rooting of shanks some time and attention. Soon the range of your garden will be replenished with young saplings. I cannot tell that rooting of coniferous - the simplest business, but also it is not necessary to bring it to the level impracticable too.
It is required to you
- Shanks of coniferous cultures, for example, any grades of thuja western, juniper, cypress, at least on 3 shanks from each grade;
- Drainage (haydite), 3 l;
- Light fertile soil, is better purchased ""For coniferous"", 5-10 l;
- The sand which is washed out 3 l;
- Box landing with drainage holes;
- Polyethylene film of 1 sq.m.;
- Sprayer with very small dispersion;
- Medicine for stimulation of korneobrazovaniye Geteroauksin, 1 package;
- Medicine for stimulation of growth processes "" Zircon"" 1 ampoule;
- Arches for hotbed, rubber binding.
Instruction
1. We learn to do shanks. First, they have to be removed from young plant, it is desirable from tree up to 5 years. Long ago it is noticed that shanks from 2-year sapling take roots for 90%, with 5-year-old for 50%, and with 10 and is more senior - for only 5-10%. Besides, it is necessary to know from what place to remove shank: the shank removed from the lower side branch will grow in low ""shaggy"" plant, and removed from upper part of krone - in harmonious plants, gabitus which corresponds to grade. It is possible to cut off shanks at the end of February or at the end of June, then process of rooting will be optimum.
2. We prepare seat. In box we put drainage haydite, then - soil, from above - layer of the washed-out bank sand 3 cm thick, we spill substrate boiled water, we allow to cool down.
3. We prepare shanks for landing. We put them for 8-12 hours in solution heteroauxin (200 mg) + zircon (4 drops) on 1 l. waters (stimulates korneobrazovaniye and helps to wash away pitch from cut). We remove needles to half of shank that it has not decayed at contact with substrate, we do by pencil of opening and we insert branches into soil, slightly we press out it fingers. Pay attention, it is important, - as you have removed branch, and orient it in soil, do not overturn rear side up!
4. We spray shanks and we construct over them hotbed by means of polyethylene, arches and rubber binding. Do not forget to spray regularly shanks with normal water in hotbed (2-6 times a day), every time densely closing it after this procedure. Within month spray shanks as well with solution of ""Zircon"" once a week (2 drops on 1 l of water not to exceed dose!) which stimulates development of roots and improves immunity of plants. Pay attention that Zircon on light quickly decays therefore you make spraying by it at lighting minimum.
5. If you cherenkovat coniferous in February, then till May leave hotbed on light (indispensable condition!), but not the southern windowsill. Then you can leave hotbed at home, you can transfer to garden, to half-shade (that is more favorable for rooting). If the cherenkovaniye was made in May, then build hotbed in garden at once. Frequent spraying and regular (but not excessive) watering - rooting basis. The taken roots cherenochka move to the constant place only for the 2nd year. They winter in the same place in hotbed, under the additional shelter from foliage and snow.
