- - insulating tape or painting adhesive tape;
- - electric or mechanical "gun";
- - surface degreaser;
- - fabric;
- - soap solution;
- - knife.
Instruction
1. Buying sealant for the first time, buy together with it suitable gun. When processing big openings use electric – it will facilitate your task several times. If the surface of work small (for example, seam in the bathroom), safely take pneumatic.
2. Before putting sealant the tuba should be prepared. It is very important to cut off nose top correctly. The corner recommended by producers and professional repairmen, 45 degrees. For simpler implementation of this operation get special safe knife in shop.
3. Prepare the cartridge for work. Press the gun lever as it is possible more densely to the handle, extend the metal pin, place tuba with sealant in the released space. Press into it the gun piston. It is necessary to apply sealant by means of pressing trigger. Their operation principle is similar to the normal syringe.
4. Clean from pollution surface for putting sealant. Degrease it special structure. Dry wipe with fabric. Pay attention that the surface, as well as sealant, has to be room temperature (or not lower than +5 and not higher than +40 degrees).
5. On surface along the processed opening in parallel paste strips of painting adhesive tape or insulating tape. You watch that the distance between them was identical, and sealant has laid down in the middle of tapes. At the same time surplus of material has to appear not on surface, and on the pasted strips.
6. You hold gun from seam equally spaced at its processing. Try to keep the identical pressure and speed of distribution on all extent of work. In case of too fast drawing, sealant will lay down the interrupted thin strips with bubbles. Slow drawing is fraught with formation of large number of waste and unreasonable expenditure of material. Also it is necessary to spend more time for cleaning of surface of surplus of sealant.
7. After drawing unstick tapes moisten stick with fabric or finger in soap solution (you can use normal shampoo or shower gel). Accurately correct all roughnesses from drawing. Wait for full drying of sealant.
