1. Heat insulators - the materials holding warm air and preventing its cooling. They are used everywhere: for warming of residential buildings and communications, in the car - and aircraft construction, for creation of favorable microclimate in warehouses of foodstuff and in places of keeping of animals and birds.
2. Now polyfoam, mineral wool and modifications of these materials are most often used. Their major characteristic – heat conductivity. But when choosing heater pay attention not only to it, but also to vapor permeability, air permeability, resistance to high-temperature influence, porosity.
3. In construction of housing and farm buildings by means of thermal insulation materials warm walls, overlappings, roof, the base. For warming of foundation of the house use sheet polyfoam. It is stacked under sand-gravel dumping on which there is base of foundation. Polyfoam cuts the cold stream rising from soil during its freezing. Thereby it prevents cooling of concrete columns, plates or tapes and the lower overlapping of premises remains rather comfortable.
4. For warming of walls along with polyfoam use fibrous materials: glass wool, stone cotton wool, ecovatu, basalt, etc. These materials most often stack in the framework built for this purpose from wooden bars or metalprofile. When using fibrous materials of additional sealing it is not required as they densely adjoin to framework walls. If in it put polyfoam, then between it gaps remain wooden racks. These slots fill with polyurethane foam that helps to make warming layer hermetic. Warming of roof is the same way made.
5. Engineering networks need protection against cold too. Here use not only polyfoam and minvata, but also other heaters: Izolon, "Penoplex", synthetic rubber, Penofol, "Grinplex", etc. Principle of use the same: fibrous heat insulators envelop around pipes and fix by means of collars, insulating tapes, foil, tin, etc.
6. The solid heaters made on the basis of polyfoam mount in the form of box in which they lay the pipeline. There are special heaters from polyfoam which form roundish with deepening in the reel. They densely adjoin to pipes and effectively protect them from freezing.
