There is set of various designs of hotbeds: stationary, figurative, land, profound, lean-to, twin, glass and covered with plastic, multilevel and flat. Advantages of cultivation of garden and garden cultures in the greenhouse are obvious. Having competently equipped hotbed on the garden site, it is possible to receive not only strong seedling, but also rich timely harvest.
Instruction
1. When choosing the place for creation of hotbed consider several important points. Check availability of sunshine on the surface of the greenhouse during the most part of day. If there is no opportunity to provide to hotbed lighting from dawn to sunset, then arrange it there where the sun looks in the first half of day – from rising in the forenoon. When heating air only after lunch, conditions for growth of plants as they do not manage to save up heat for cold nights worsen and too quickly heat up strong beams of the sun. Orient your hotbed in West east direction to provide the maximum illumination when the sun is highly over the horizon. Choose the places closed from drafts and strong winds. Though coverings of hotbeds also do not pass air, but heat waste from surface at the same time can be notable. It is especially important in autumn-spring the periods when it is desirable to keep each degree of heat in the greenhouse.
2. Create design and choose covering. There are ready hotbeds which after delivery need to be collected and established in the appointed place, and it is possible to make the greenhouse own hands, using improvised materials. For protection of the soil against diseases create the basis or use flower pallets. Construct framework of strong and easy metal or wooden overlappings. Cover hotbed with light-transmitting materials. Modern variety of ukryvny films and plastic forms allows to facilitate considerably design, without using heavy and breaking glass for covering.
3. Pave the way in hotbed. Use the best biological fuel for greenhouses – sheep and horse manure, and at their absence mix cow, pork manure, food waste, straw, peat or sawdust. Lay mix 30-40 cm thick, cover with the friable earth layer 15-20 cm and make deep openings through 1 meter. Pour in holes on bucket of boiled water and close hotbed. In 7-10 days temperature in the greenhouse is established at the level of 35-38 degrees, and it is possible to start jumping of plants.
4. Provide timely watering of plantings. Use traditional methods by means of watering can or install the system of automatic supply of water.
