Installation of the switch is not too difficult task, but demands knowledge of some subtleties of this work. Correct performance of this process provides not only convenience of inclusion and switching off of lighting, but also prevents possibility of defeat by electric current or wiring ignitions.
Instruction
1. You should establish electric bulb and the switch. At first define from where you will pull wire, one of the existing electric boxes usually is for this purpose used. Before work turn out traffic jams on electric guard or switch off circuit breakers. It is strictly forbidden to work at tension in wiring.
2. Open cover of electric box. You will see two bunches of stranded wires – in one will be phase, in the friend zero. If wires are insulated, untwist insulating tape or cut off if it has stuck to wires. Watch closely that zero and phase conductors have not adjoined among themselves!
3. Having removed insulating tape, give tension to network, having twisted traffic jams or having turned on circuit breakers. Now define where in box phase wires and where zero. For this purpose concern them sampler – special "screw-driver" with the metal tip from above and neon bulb. Touch by finger contact on the screw-driver from above, and screw-driver tip – wires. When you concern phase wire, the bulb will light up.
4. Having defined phase and zero wires, again switch-off circuit breakers. Now you should stretch duplex wire from box to bulb and to turn on the switch in rupture of phase wire. The wire can fasten to wall the thin tin strips beaten by carnations; it can be laid in cable channel or the groove harrowed in wall, to let on the attic, etc., here everything depends on material of walls and your taste – make as it is more convenient to you. The main thing that the phase wire went on the switch, then to bulb and already from it returned to zero conductor in box.
5. The way of installation and type of the switch depend on material of walls too. In concrete walls the switches are put in the openings intended for them: after connection of wires the screw-driver the special screws fixing the switch in opening twist. If the consignment note switch, then for it can be required to cut in wall special plate, round or square (depending on switch form), it is usually beaten several nails.
6. Disassemble the switch. Try on block (its central part) to that place where it has to be. Note pencil or nail of the place where there will be fixing its screws. Thin drill accurately drill in these places of opening.
7. Connect the wires going to it to contacts of block of the switch. Cut off exactly so much isolation how many it is necessary from wires. After tightening of screws there should not be bare wire anywhere. Having connected wires, establish block into place, screw in the fixing its screws. Put the switch body. Do not forget to insulate wires in box again and to close it cover. Everything is ready, can turn on circuit breakers and enjoy result of your work.
