If you have decided to make independently the electric motor, you need exact calculation of characteristics of its work. Will depend on it whether it will be able to perform the functions or not.
Instruction
1. For a start study methodical literature in subject. Most fully the technique of production and calculation of electric motors of different models is reflected in N.V. Vinogradov's grant "As most to calculate the electric motor", 1974.
2. Determine basic sizes of the electric motor, that is length of the rotor and its diameter.
3. Then calculate tooth layer, that is the sizes of teeth and grooves.
4. Define winding data that is how many rounds are present at winding and what diameter of wire. Calculate magnetic fluxes and the main of induction in parts of the rotor and stator. If production of the collector machine is planned, it is necessary to determine the collector's size, quantity and the size of brushes.
5. Define power losses which will happen in the electric motor. In devices of small power the calculation is conducted on the basis of durability of bearings, the collector and shaft.
6. If to make full and exact calculation, it is required to do difficult calculations - the whole commonplace book will be for this purpose necessary. However it is possible to manage the simplified calculations which will include determination of the size of the magnetic core and obtaining winding data. All other measurements and calculations can be avoided as at the solution of physical task it is optional to strive for absolutely exact data. It is supposed, for example, that the engine will not be exposed to excessive heating therefore it is possible and to do without thermal calculations. Thus, independent production of the electric motor is represented quite possible provided that you possess at least initial knowledge of physics and electrical equipment. In detail study the matter, carry out necessary calculations and try to assemble the first engine.
