Instruction
1. Before starting updating, prepare surface. Turn off accessories, remove decorative pads. Remove old varnish by means of abrasive paper from surface. If on surface there are dents, putty them. When putty dries up, grind surface abrasive paper.
2. The easiest way to update cabinet – to paint surface. Paint doors, fasten new handles - and the new cabinet is ready. If you though are able to draw a little, ornament cabinet doors in fantasy flowers or geometrical patterns.
3. If you are not able to draw, technology of decoupage will come to the rescue. Get in shop decoupage card or multilayered napkins with suitable ornament. Smear the place where you will paste napkin PVA glue and paste top layer. When glue dries out, cover surface with furniture varnish, put 2 or 3 layers.
4. The back wall of buffet can be pasted over with wall-paper. Pick up wall-paper with the interesting drawing. On such background the ware will look very beautifully.
5. Paste over the old polished cabinet with self-adhesive film. In shop the film of the most various colors and textures is on sale. Doors of the cabinet which is pasted over with film can be decorated with special stickers. Besides, in workshop will help to apply you on film the necessary drawing. It is only enough to choose the suitable photo and to print out it.
6. The self-adhesive film should be pasted very carefully and carefully. Do not unstick protective layer completely. Remove it a little and apply to the pasted-over surface. Smooth with soft rag film from the middle to corners, expelling air bubbles. Gradually unstick protective layer and in the same way, paste film. If nevertheless there were several air bubbles, puncture them with thin needle and smooth. You do not hurry, do everything slowly as haste can spoil all work, and you will not manage re-stick film any more. Here so just you can update the old cabinet and give it modern look.
