Instruction
1. Completely spread out sofa. Remove from it all pillows if they freely are pulled out or fasten on thongs from fabric. Accurately you podporit thongs, they will be useful to you for the updated sofa.
2. Disconnect sofa sidewalls. Unscrew all fastenings connecting them with main frame and back. Separate back from seat. Try to record the work on analysis of sofa on the camera, then it will be easier for you to carry out assembly.
3. Remove old upholstery. Pick up it in places of fastening by screw-driver tip, pull out brackets or carnations flat-nose pliers. Do this work accurately, try not to tear fabric, as much as possible keep its form.
4. Check condition of soft sofa filler. If it was trampled down or has torn, then disconnect it in places of fastening with wooden parts of frame.
5. Spread out old upholstery and the removed foam rubber on big standard sheets. For this purpose it is possible to use newspapers, rolls of old wall-paper, tracing-paper. Make pattern of new parts, do not forget about allowances for seams.
6. Make calculation of necessary amount of new fabric and soft filler for patterns. When everything is ready, go to shop to do shopping. If you are going to use soft friable fabric for top layer, then you will need still dense fabric for stretching of foam rubber before upholstery. It will ensure long safety of new "clothes" for sofa and will be obstacle for dust.
7. Envelop foam rubber wooden sidewalls of sofa. Attach it brackets. If necessary lay lining fabric, and then pull the upholstery fabric sewed on pattern, having fixed all by the stapler in the lower part of sidewalls. If you use fabric with the expressed drawing, then it has to coincide on armrests from two parties of sofa.
8. Fit new fabric sofa back, having enclosed soft foam rubber. Material you fix with small tension that there were no zalom and folds. If upholstered furniture has removable pillows, then at production for them new pillowcases insert lightnings. You will be able always to remove the become soiled fabric and to wash it.
9. Make new seat. If the sofa has springs, before laying of foam rubber on them lay dense rough fabric, having fixed it on sofa frame. Then there is soft layer and upholstery. Attach all parts on perimeter the furniture stapler to rigid parts of furniture.
10. Collect all parts of sofa. Be verified with pictures of fastenings which you had taken when dismantling furniture. At first connect back and seat, then attach sidewalls.
