And on the other hand, delivery of dimensional furniture to repair shop - very troublesome and expensive task. At great desire it is possible to repair house sofa by own forces.

- - flat blade screwdriver;
- - flat-nose pliers;
- - knife for foam rubber;
- - new foam rubber.
Instruction
1. Before starting repair, prepare necessary space. That repair has happened as fast as possible and effectively, prepare all necessary tools and also set of new springs on replacement. Remove carpet or carpet, put thick and dense film for protection of parquet against accidental falling of the heavy tool or constructive part of sofa.
2. Begin dismantling of sofa with detachment of sidewalls. Wrench turn off fastenings, whenever possible holding them from free fall.
3. In any convenient way mark parts of mechanisms of unfolding of the sofa planes on right and left that later repair to bring together them in the correct order. Dismantle mechanisms.
4. Continue dismantling of sofa, in turn disconnecting seat, back. If there is pallet, it is necessary to dismantle also it.
5. To remove covers, use flat-nose pliers and pull out attachment clamps. Avoid heavy breakthroughs, try to do everything accurately. Otherwise it is possible to damage or even to unstitch fabric of covers.
6. Start repair of the spring block, previously having pulled out mattress. Take damp rag, remove dust and wooden sawdust which usually are present much at the place of fastening of the spring block to sofa bottom.
7. Test all sofa springs. It can be done also without dismantling, however experts recommend to pull out nevertheless all block and to define suitability to further use each spring separately.
8. Remove the broken springs by means of flat-nose pliers. Having established new, use furniture foam rubber and old dense blanket for bigger elasticity of the spring block and increase in terms of operation. For this purpose take knife, cut foam rubber and fill it the spring block then cover with blanket and fix it on perimeter by means of the hammer and 30-40 mm of nails so that the blanket "sat" most densely and collected springs, without allowing them to fall down in different directions. Thus, the main cause of breakage or excessive extension of sofa springs - their nonsynchronous work is removed.
