Fault of the intercom can be in the room or street block and also in the wiring connecting them among themselves. Some of the simplest malfunctions of the intercom equipment can be eliminated with forces of inhabitants of the house.
Instruction
1. First of all learn from neighbors whether intercoms work for them. It will allow to localize fault. If at all others intercoms operate regularly, so problem at you. Attentively examine the cable going from the room block to opening in wall through which it leaves in entrance. Perhaps, you will see its damage (break or short circuit) with the naked eye. Eliminate it, and you will be able to use the intercom again. If nothing has turned out, uncover room the block and look how wires are inserted into the terminal block. If necessary correct them and tighten screws. Do not rearrange crossing point at all! After that collect the block. Work in rubber gloves, in case of insulation breakdown in the central power supply unit.
2. If on the screen of the intercom equipped with the optical keyboard there was message of ""E-2"", and the keyboard does not work absolutely (at the same time for the application of keys reaction normal), it means that part of openings through which there passes light from sensors to receivers was hammered with dirt. Take a closer look at keyboard frame, and you will find on it infrared emitters and photosensors. Accurately carry out on them several times by rag to remove dirt. If soon the message of ""E-2"" disappears, and the keyboard will start working, you have just eliminated fault.
3. There is fault of the intercom which responsible are residents. Wishing to eliminate loud cottons when closing door, they paste insulating tape or adhesive tape on electromagnet. As a result cottons disappear, but the effort sufficient for opening of the locked door, sharply decreases, and anyone can open it. Remove all similar stickers from electromagnet and that the door has ceased to clap, repair and adjust the closer — actually problem in it.
4. All other malfunctions of the access block independently are forbidden to be looked for and eliminated, it is not your property, but the property of the organization serving intercoms. However, you will also not manage it as the block fastens to door either rivets, or screws at which the slit is drilled. The same concerns also part of the wiring located outside the apartment. If the room block of the intercom is combined with the room block of the alarm system, then independently it is impossible to look for and eliminate malfunctions and in it.
