There is opinion that stretch ceilings demand installation of special lighting equipment. It not absolutely so. The design of stretch ceiling allows to establish practically any chandelier. However it is necessary to know that the choice and purchase of chandeliers and lamps it has to be made prior to mounting works of ceiling design.

1. Choose way of fastening of chandelier. There are two types of chandeliers - suspended and ceiling. Ceiling chandeliers fasten on special mounting bar which is fixed by means of self-tapping screws. Suspended - are hung up on the hook which is built in in ceiling. In spite of the fact that both types of lamps are suitable for stretch ceiling, it is recommended to choose chandeliers of suspended type. Their mounting is simpler and cheaper. When choosing chandelier with suspended fastening it is necessary to know that the more the course of decorative bowl on chandelier rod, the will be simpler its installation and the subsequent operation.
2. Choose type of the lamps used in chandelier. It is necessary to consider the fact that being exposed to long influence of high temperatures, the stretch ceiling can darken and get out of shape. Therefore in the chandeliers used on stretch ceilings it is recommended to use energy saving lamps or LEDs. Buying chandelier - "plate", make sure that it has the special protective plate closing lamps and protecting ceiling surface from overheating. The lack of reflectors can lead to damage of the film covering ceiling. Glow lamps and halogen lamps established in chandelier plafonds have to be located at distance of, at least, 25 cm from surface of stretch ceiling. Power of halogen lamps should not exceed 35 W, glow lamps - 40 W. Make sure that openings under lamps are edged by heat-resistant laying. It is recommended to get chandeliers which plafonds are directed down. It will help to prevent formation of black circles on surface of your ceiling.
3. When choosing chandelier it is necessary to consider the invoice of stretch ceiling. For example, hemispherical lamps will look very favourably on varnish ceiling since reflection will add hemisphere to spherical shape. And classical chandeliers - "candlesticks", being reflected in the inverted look, can look it is strange and inappropriate.
