1. Choose suitable type of the conditioner. Stationary models can consist of one or of two blocks. The first usually are established in window aperture therefore upon purchase of such model it is necessary to make sure that window opening is rather wide. More difficult and expensive conditioners from several blocks which have additional functions consist of the external module and at least one internal which is placed in the cooled room. The internal module can fasten on wall or stand on floor. There are also mobile conditioners which can be transferred freely from the room to the room.
2. Determine the necessary power of the conditioner. It is necessary to do it at the rate of 1 kW on 10 sq.m of the cooled zone. So, for the room in 25 sq.m it is necessary to choose the conditioner with power at least 2500 W. Also the level of necessary power is influenced by household appliances, each of them adds to total amount approximately 500 W. If the power of the conditioner is insufficient, the term of its service can be reduced significantly as it should work at limit of the opportunities constantly.
3. Give preference to those conditioners which work with low noise level. Comfortable level for the module installed indoors is no more than 50 decibels, the external module can rustle slightly more loudly - up to 60 decibels. In rooms where the silence is especially important, for example in study or in the nursery, noise level has to be minimum and make no more than 30 decibels.
4. Pick up the model equipped with additional functions necessary to you. For example, the conditioner can drain air thanks to what in rooms with high humidity it becomes much easier to breathe. Also the model can purify air from dust and harmful smells, including, from tobacco smoke. Some models are equipped with function of ionization which assignment - air disinfection.
