Even at care any vinyl record will become dirty sooner or later. Most often dust, small crumbs, cigarette ashes is the reason of pollution. All dirt collected on plate is rammed by needle therefore cleaning of plates has to be damp.
Instruction
1. Take basin or pan of suitable diameter. Pour about 3 l of the distilled water of room temperature. Before lowering plate in water, add to it not abrasive cleaning agent, at the rate of 1 tablespoon on 3 l of water.
2. Lower phonograph record in the washing solution and several times invert, trying to obtain that liquid has completely moistened plate surface. If it is a lot of dirt, then it is better to wash out plate at first under cool flowing water or to wet in the washing solution for 15-20 minutes.
3. After time, accurately take in hand plate, and the soft wide brush, the wetted in the washing solution, walk several times along paths. Pay attention that the brush has to slide easily on plate. If it not so, wash out brush in solution again and continue cleaning, all dirt from grooves will not be washed up yet. Thus it is necessary to clean each party of plate.
4. Carefully wash away the washing solution from vinyl phonograph record by means of strong pressure of shower. Rinsing can be considered finished if on plate soap bubbles are not visible, and it became smolno black.
5. After rinsing, the plate needs to be wiped. It is better to use cotton or linen fabric, and to carry out wiping along grooves.
6. Accurate suspend plate for opening far from conditioners and fans, and let's it dry out finally. The vinyl record can be considered dry if on it there is no moisture at all.
7. It is better to throw out old envelope or packing in which the plate was stored, having replaced with new. As a last resort, it is possible to use antistatic package.
