As pleasantly happens to settle in cozy chair after the long working day with cup of fragrant tea! But once you notice that water in teapot became muddy, the strange smack and white flakes has appeared. It is scum - limy raid which emergence is promoted by the increased water hardness. Besides all troubles, it threatens the electric kettle also with breakage. Therefore it is necessary to get rid of scum urgently.
Instruction
1. The easiest way is to buy any "antiscale agent" in shop and to clean teapot, following the instruction. Such means, as a rule, costs not much. But, if you want to protect health from accidental hit in organism of chemicals, it is better to use natural means.
2. The scum is alkaline connection which is removed by means of acid. In house conditions for these purposes it is possible to use vinegar. Pour in 100 ml of acetic acid (9%) in teapot, add 1-1.5 liters of water (better than filtered).
3. Boil the received solution and leave minimum for two hours and if there is opportunity, then on all night long.
4. Having poured out solution, carefully wash teapot with flowing water and once again boil to remove the remains of vinegar and scum.
5. If it was not succeeded to get rid of raid up to the end, repeat all procedure from the very beginning or try other folk remedy.
6. Besides acetic acid for fight against scum it is possible to use citric acid – 1 tablespoon on 1.5-2 liters of water. Fill acid in teapot, fill in with hot water and leave for 15-20 minutes. It is optional to boil solution. If the raid was not really strong, then after the specified time the teapot will begin to shine as new.
7. In case of absence of the house of citric acid and vinegar - do not despair. It can be unexpected, but in last times of the grandmother got rid potatoes! Take pure potato cleanings, cover with them bottom of teapot and add 1.5-2 liters of cold water.
8. Bring water in teapot to boiling several times (4-5 depending on complexity of objective) and leave to cool down.
9. Drain the cooled-down water and well wash teapot with water from under the crane.
10. If you are still dissatisfied with the received result, try one more very extravagant means. Buy liter bottle of "Sprite" or "Fanta" in shop and stir up it before disappearance of gases.
11. Pour drink in teapot, heat and leave for the night.
12. Pour out sweet "antiscale agent" in sink in the morning and wash out teapot. After all these procedures the scum has to pass into nothingness.
