Completely fill the tank for water, turn temperature regulator of heating of sole on maximum and turn on the iron. Wait several minutes until it heats up and will automatically be disconnected. Most of producers recommend to carry out cleaning after the second heating. When the iron heats up the second time, disconnect it from the socket and go to the bathroom. Over sink or over the bathroom press the self-cleaning button. Steam openings with big force will begin to come out steam together with scum. Consider that there will not be enough heating temperature to evaporate all volume of water and when steam ceases to go, continuing to hold the self-cleaning button, shake the iron until from it all water pours out. On the end of this procedure at the bottom of bathtub it is possible to see how many scums managed to be removed.

2. If there is no function of self-cleaning, then the following option will approach. Prepare big heat resisting capacity, put wooden sticks on bottom and put on them the iron so that liquid freely passed in all openings in its sole. Take special means for de-scaling and fill it on capacity bottom. Boil water in teapot and pour it in the capacity that it closed iron sole on height of 2 cm. It will help to clean all metal parts of the iron and not to touch plastic and rubber parts. Leave the iron in such situation for about 10 minutes.
