Instruction
1. Examine the site of the developed soil regarding roughnesses and their sizes. Insignificant roughnesses will not have significant effect on calculation result, but at the same time survey will give the chance to define error percent. Calculation of volume of soil consists in determination of volumes of various geometrical figures.
2. Determine length of the parties at ditch surface, using formulas: A1 = A+2HT B1 = B+2HT, where And yes In – length of the parties at the ditch basis; N – excavating depth; T – slope coefficient
3. Take the sizes of ditch and determine soil volume by the following formula: V = H / 6 [(2A + A1)B + (2A1 + A) B1], gden – excavating depth; And yes In – length of the parties at the ditch basis; A1 and B1 – length of the parties on ditch surface.
4. Determine the volume of underground part of the building, using formulas from algebra course. Then calculate the volume of backfilling of bosoms of ditch. It is equal to the difference of volume of ditch and volume of underground part of the building. Accuracy of this calculation depends on correctness of the made measurements of height, width and depth of underground part of future object.
5. After all calculations are executed and checked, it is possible to start carrying out earthwork operations. For this purpose it is necessary to break the top and lower contours of ditch into areas. The correctness of planned development is checked by vising on the landmarks exposed along lines of future ditch. For competent development of slopes it is necessary to use special templates and other professional devices.
