How to cut corners of ceiling plinth

The most difficult moment in gluing of ceiling plinths – cutting of corners. If walls direct to cut corner will not make big work. But if walls uneven, it is necessary to put a lot of effort to adjust corner to the necessary degree.

  • - stationery knife
  • - ruler
  • - ceiling plinth

Instruction

1. Measure corner of your room. For this purpose apply corner to wall top in corner about the ceiling. There have to be about 90 degrees. If at you the smaller value has turned out, it means that room corners uneven, it will be a little more difficult to cut plinth.

2. Take ceiling plinth and apply to it ruler at an angle in 45 degrees and the courageous movement of hand by means of stationery knife cut off excess part of plinth. Do the same with the second piece. For plinths from dense materials (tree, plastic) use hacksaw or the electrofret saw.

3. Try on the cut-off parts of ceiling plinth to room corner if everything meets and the corner has turned out under the necessary degree, safely apply glue and paste them to wall.

4. If room corner uneven, measure its degree. Then separate in half, it also will be the necessary corner of cut which you have to make on plinth. For example: the corner of the room equals 80 degrees, so you have to cut off corner in 40 degrees from plinth.
