Stacking tile indoors, sooner or later you will face need for scrap of tiles. Today there is set of ways (as specialized, and "national) which allow to cut off tile of the necessary size.
It is required to you
- Tile, pencil, tape measure, plitkorez.
Instruction
1. First of all, having faced need for cutting of tile, you need to remove all measurements for the most exact cut. For this purpose use pencil and tape measure. You can also save yourself from application of tape measure. For this purpose invert tile face side down and apply it on floor (closely to wall). Note pencil two points in the upper and lower part of tile (putting marks, consider future seam – draw them at distance 3-4 millimeters from edge of already laid tile).
2. Invert tile and transfer marks to its face side. For this purpose just draw solid line on tile face. Now, when material will be marked, you can start its cutting. Many handymen, in this operation manage to use not only plitkorez and the Bulgarian (the Bulgarian is useful for cutting corners on tile), but also the ordinary glass-cutter. However now we will mention way of cutting of tile by means of plitkorez.
3. Having paid attention on plitkorez, you will see that on its center there passes the direct edge – it serves not only your reference point, but also allows to execute the correct section of tile. Lay tile on this edge so that each of the marks put earlier coincided with its top. Drive away the lever of plitkorez back and record tile not movably.
4. Bring roller with edge to mark. Make sure that it is located strictly on the nacherchenny line. Slightly pressing on the lever of plitkorez, carry out by edge on all length of tile (move the lever to the top situation, pressuring him during the movement). After the lever appears above, put leg of plitkorez in upper part of tile and press on handle. The tile will be cut off.
5. If at the time of pressing handle the tile breaks off not on straight line, so it is necessary to increase pressure force by the lever at the time of cutting of tile.
