Instruction
1. Choose pattern for carved platbands. For this purpose it is possible to use both photos on the Internet, and the literature describing ancient traditions of construction. The complexity of pattern depends on that, how well you own the fret saw. If you have no experience with this tool, do not draw large number of difficult parts, bends and openings in platband. However, you can be trained on unnecessary boards. The azhurny there will be pattern, the your house will be more attractive to look.
2. Transfer pattern to paper, having increased it to the necessary sizes. Apply with pencil the chosen ornament on cardboard for cliche.
3. If you want to make platbands color, paint them in color necessary to you.
4. Cut cardboard cliche scissors. Impose it on preparations for platbands.
5. At first apply with pencil, and then thin brush on cliche on preparation the necessary pattern. For drawing pattern brush use white acrylic paint. Lines have to be light, equal. They have to be well visible, but it is important not to be overzealous.
6. The manual fret saw cut platbands according to pattern. To cut openings in preparations, use drill and chisel.
7. Having cut platbands, varnish them. Often platbands leave natural – without specialized coatings and paints. But in order that they looked accurate, products need to be polished carefully.
8. When preparations dry, establish ready platbands on window.
