- Wood of various breeds differing from each other in color and texture;
- Starched and joiner's glue (or BF-2);
- Sharp pricker;
- Corresponding size sheet of paper or piece of plywood;
- Abrasive paper;
- Jointer plane.
Instruction
1. First of all find the suitable drawing for your mosaic in the Internet or draw it. Further you need to cut interline interval. Carrying out this process, pay attention to the following: parts of rounded shape should be cut in the form of polygons then to round off corners by means of the jointer plane. When you cut figure with knots, begin each following cut with corners that they at you have not broken off.
2. When finish cutting elements of mosaic, start its assembly and placement on door cloth. It is possible to carry out these operations in two ways.
3. Way first: you can paste mosaic directly on cloth of door or on basis. The veneer sheet can form basis. In this case it will be necessary to transfer the drawing to plywood by means of transfer paper. Now just paste elements on mosaic which you will be able to strengthen then on door by means of the same glue.
4. Way number two: here you need also paper and starched glue. Transfer the drawing to paper and begin to transfer to it mosaic elements by means of pricker (fat spots will remain not fingers, and that). You watch that all elements of ornament densely to each other adjoined. Further paste the drawing paper outside on the door prepared by means of abrasive paper. Wait, glue will not dry out yet and remove paper, previously having moistened it with wet rag.
5. It is worth noticing that when gluing mosaic on door the drawing will turn out mirror concerning the fact that has been represented on paper. By the way, the cloth door will be better to be removed from loops before work. And when all operations will be done, press mosaic something heavy. When glue dries out and will finally grab, remove press and polish mosaic.
