- - psychrometer;
- - thermometer;
- - psychrometric table;
- - chip of birch or pine;
- - candle;
- - matches.
Instruction
1. For the easiest way use the standard device of measurement of humidity - room hygrometer. It can show humidity both in premises, and in warehouse and also in greenhouses. Or buy the psychrometer in specialized shop. It shows both humidity, and indoor temperature at the expense of two alcohol thermometers.
2. If you have no opportunity to use above-mentioned devices, try to define humidity by the psychrometric table. For this purpose at first take air temperature in the room and write down these indications in the table. Then take piece of gauze and wet it in water. Envelop it the basis of the thermometer and leave for 10 minutes. Again take readings. Take away the second from the first. Having received difference, compare it to the psychometric table, so you define humidity.
3. It is possible to define humidity in the national method which is actively used by housewives. Observe houseplants, and you will understand, whether dry indoor air. At dryness the leaves at edges become at first brown, and are twisted later. There can be also subsidence of buds.
4. For one way of moisture determination indoors take chip of birch or pine. Put it in any place on floor and leave so for week. Later this time try to break it. If you hear dry crash, the humidity indoors insufficient means. In the absence of any sounds the air humidity meets standard. If the chip does not break, and bends, humidity in the room too high. This measuring method well will be suitable for warehouses or any non-residential premises.
