1. So, to determine room space you need at least construction tape measure. By means of it measure length and width of the room. Record all obtained measuring data in notebook, so you will not forget the turned-out digits and in consequence will make the correct calculation.
2. If in your room there are no ledges, wall deepenings and other design designs, the form represents ordinary rectangle and to determine its area, it is enough to increase the turned-out length and width. Consider that it is necessary to measure length of walls on the level of the base or floor, it is necessary in order that the tape of tape measure had no distortion, differently as a result length will turn out bigger and these areas can increase. The turned-out digit will also be the total area of the room.
3. It happens so that the room has no rectangular shape therefore it is necessary to break it into rectangular zones then to put the areas of each of them. If indoors there are niches for storerooms, or constructional columns are established, then their sizes should be excluded from the received measurements. For this purpose it is enough to count the area of each constructional element and to subtract the obtained data from the total area of the room.
4. If indoors there are arches, for example, under heating radiators, then add on their additional area. Thus, having executed all necessary measurements, you have exact room space. And now you without effort will manage to calculate the necessary amount of construction materials for repair – linoleum, wall-paper, laminate, tile, etc.
