Redigging of kitchen garden – important action for soil cultivation during which there is loosening of the earth deeply and saturation by its oxygen. Dig kitchen garden in the fall, after harvesting, or in the spring.

1. Autumn redigging should be carried out still before the earth undergoes the first frosts. During it phosphoric fertilizers which will feed all winter the soil are added to the earth.
2. One more feature of digging of kitchen garden during the autumn period is preservation of the lumps and layers formed in its process. Thanks to it in the earth seeds of weeds and wreckers will freeze, and it will be easier for soil to breathe. By spring these lumps will crumble by itself.
3. Prepare the site for processing. Remove from it all large branches of trees and stones that they did not disturb during digging.
4. The kitchen garden should be dug furrows. Thrust shovel perpendicular to the surface of the soil, deepen it the leg pressure upon all length of bayonet of shovel, and then pull out together with the earth. The lifted soil throw front furrow. Already every time. The last furrow should be closed the earth which has remained after digging very first.
5. Dig over kitchen garden small sites, without seeking to process it in one day. Otherwise it is possible to earn callosities and to overtire, and the kitchen garden will be dug up not so carefully.
6. Without having managed to dig over the earth in the fall, it can be done and in the spring. Only in this case the possibility of its fertilizer will be missed, and processing of the soil will be more labor-consuming.
7. Spring redigging needs to be carried out after the earth slightly dries up and will cease to stick to footwear sole. But it is better to make it as soon as possible before landing of crops (2-3 weeks) that the soil has managed to settle and be restored. Having dug up kitchen garden, it is necessary to crumb and level all lumps of the earth carefully.
