The main problem of one-room apartments is lack of free space. On the area of 33 meters (and even less) it is necessary "to push" both the bedroom, and the living room, and workplace, and not to do without kitchen in any way. At the same time it is important to equip the one-room apartment that it has not turned into furniture warehouse, and the living space was enough for everything.

1. The first precept of arrangement of the small apartment is visual ease in combination with the most effective use of space. Any bulky and massive cabinet furniture. For storage of things it is better to provide sliding wardrobes in the hall and in the room, for books – narrow racks under ceiling. For storage of nonseasonal clothes and seldom used things it is possible to equip podium with drawers, having arranged on it berth.
2. Arrangement of the one-room apartment requires special attention to kitchen. Most likely, it will be used both as the dining room, and as the living room. The compact kitchen corner can become the successful decision. Contrary to common opinion, they very successfully fit into small kitchens, and availability of boxes for storage under seats allows to reduce number of kitchen cabinets.
3. But the main task is planning of the living room. It is better to separate it into functional zones (bedroom, the living room, office, the nursery). For division of space it is possible (but it is optional) to use partitions. The sliding screen allowing "to transform" space as required can appear the good decision.
4. Furniture has to be whenever possible universal, multipurpose. Even simplest "transformers" (like table book) can be used in the semi-put state as workplace, in completely decomposed – as dining table, in put – as bedside shelf.
5. If you have children – pay attention to "two-storeyed" furniture where the bed is lifted upward, and under it the space for games, children's corner or desk is located.
6. And use in registration of interior of warm light colors (golden-gray, beige, yellow, etc.) and monophonic wall-paper or wall-paper with the vertical drawing will help to increase the room visually.
