In the heat of summer season when passed problems with threat of night frosts and survival of seedling, before fans of gardening and truck farming there are new tasks. So, for example, competently organized fertilizing of tomatoes yeast will provide not only high productivity of this vegetable culture, but also will protect it from dangerous disease – phytophthora.

Barmy fertilizing of tomatoes has become widespread in the 70th years of last century, however, for the reasons of commodity deficiency the gardeners have been forced to replace yeast with more available complex synthetic fertilizers. Presently yeast supporters of organic agriculture have begun to practice fertilizing at first, and then – and all other amateur gardeners preferring to grow up ecologically safe vegetables.

Advantages of barmy fertilizing of tomatoes

The baker's yeast representing the simplest fungi is extremely vitamin-rich also mineral substances, as does them irreplaceable for full and well balanced fertilizing not only tomatoes, but also some other vegetable cultures.

It is possible to carry the following factors to advantages of fertilizer of a such type:

  • yeast is natural growth factor of plants;
  • fertilizing provides development of powerful root system;
  • radical fertilizing enriches structure of the soil;
  • correctly fertilized plants form more strong ovaries and, respectively, fruits;
  • superficial spraying of plants barmy solution is used for the purpose of prevention of phytophthora and mealy dew.

Technology of preparation of barmy fertilizing

As a rule, fertilizer of tomatoes yeast is practiced by no more than three-four times for all summer season. For the first time – at stage of disembarkation of tomatoes to the greenhouse or to the open ground and also – at seedling sword-play, then – during emergence of buds and formation of ovaries of fruits. But it is necessary to consider that the similar schedule of fertilizer is approximate, and first of all it is necessary to be guided by condition of plants: if stalks of tomatoes weak and extended, leaves badly gain weight, the root system is insufficiently developed, then fertilizing needs to be carried out to the shortest terms.

Production of concentrate of barmy fertilizer according to the classical recipe requires 100-gram pack of the fresh pressed yeast (many summer residents replace them with dry product) and half-glass of granulated sugar. Yeast crushes, fills in with 3 liters of the filtered or well settled water of room temperature, adds sugar and, having properly mixed, leaves for fermentation. That did not settle dust on the surface of solution and do not get insects, capacity is covered with the fabric with rare weaving of threads (is possible to take clean gauze) providing access of air to liquid.

When fertilizing tomatoes barmy fertilizer it is important to follow simple agrotechnical rules:

  • the soil around plant at first is accurately loosened and slightly humidified with thermal water;
  • the concentrated barmy solution is diluted by 7 l of the settled not boiled water;
  • watering is carried out before the sunset in warm, serene day and only at well heated-up soil;
  • fertilizer is introduced at the roots bush, and for prevention of fungal diseases carry out processing of leaves and stalks of plant from spray.

Important points:

  • prevention of phytophthora and barmy fertilizing of tomatoes according to leaf is made only after sunset that solution drops, like lens, have not concentrated sunshine on leaves and would not provoke severe burns of plants;
  • despite all obvious advantages of barmy fertilizer, such fertilizing is capable to increase acidity of the soil and to wash away from it number of necessary microelements. To avoid similar situation, it is recommended to bring before use of yeast in the soil small amount of ashes of foliferous trees.
