How to fertilize pepper

Many grades of sweet pepper have taken root in midland for a long time. In its conditions these plants breed only by means of seedling and the subsequent jumping to greenhouses or the open ground. Experienced gardeners have learned to grow up big harvests of this useful and tasty vegetable on the sites. In many respects success of country works depends on the correct fertilizing of pepper various organic and mineral fertilizers. It is carried out in several steps.

It is required to you

  • - Mix of the garden soil, peat (humus) and sand;
  • - Superphosphate;
  • - The rerotting manure;
  • - Ammonium nitrate;
  • - Urea;
  • - potassium sulfate;
  • - water;
  • - matchbox, teaspoon, scales and 10 liter bucket for the correct dosing of fertilizers.

Instruction

1. Preparation of the soil for seedling. Pave the way for cultivation of seedlings sweetof pepper in advance as it needs fertilizing. The majority of grades of this plant is quite exacting to composition of landing soil. It is possible to buy already ready special mix in shop, however it is simple to prepare it and independently. As practice shows, good results are yielded by mixture of such components: the soil from kitchen garden (25-30%), peat or humus (30-50%) and the same amount of sand.

2. Soil fertilizer during redigging. Many successful summer residents even during autumn or early spring redigging of beds introduce such mineral fertilizers as superphosphate and sulfate of potassium. It is enough to take of them from calculation for 30 g on square meter and to bring in the soil on depth about 10 cm.

3. Preparation for jumping. For few weeks before change of seedling of pepper to the open ground it is necessary to prepare garden beds in advance and to fertilize them the rerotting manure (about 5 kg on square meter). For few weeks before planting of seedling it is also recommended to feed up slightly landing soil nitrogen (ammonium nitrate) as the plant will need this mineral fertilizer even prior to the blossoming. Calculate 10 g of means on square meter of the site.

4. The first fertilizing. Having planted pepper seedling on garden beds or to the greenhouse, let's it take roots and get stronger within 2-3 weeks. Only after that it is possible "to feed" plant with superphosphate and urea. The first fertilizer take only 5 g, – it is twice more of second, and properly stir components in ten-liter bucket with water. Pour out on liter of the prepared mix under each bush of pepper.

5. The second fertilizing. While the first buds are tied and fruits ripen, pepper will need especially potassium. Plant breeders usually feed up plant during its rough blossoming: in bucket of water the matchbox of superphosphate and teaspoon of sulfate of potassium is dissolved. This solution process beds in the same way, as at the first fertilizing. Keep in mind that superphosphate is necessary only on the soils poor in phosphorus!

6. The third fertilizing. It is done after when fruits on the first branch of bush completely grow ripe. At this time phosphorus and potassium are again brought (on two teaspoons of that and another on bucket).
