The reliable door in the house is guarantee of your safety, but steel armored shutters are too boring and gray by sight. Also there is question of finishing of outer door. There are many materials for finishing of outer door: plastic, leatherette, MDF. For many options of finishing of metal door it is necessary to invite the expert. And the easiest way of finishing – finishing by interline interval, thin plate of wood. It can do even to the beginning master.
Instruction
1. The interline interval is glued on chipboard – this material has plain surface, and pasting from above interline interval allows to decorate door the beautiful drawing. So, take the sheet chipboard by the size of your door as basis. It is possible to buy it in any furniture store. Previously by measurement of diagonals check the door for availability of right angles. If they are absent, take leaf of basis of slightly smaller size, than door. By means of self-tapping screws fix the sheet chipboard on outer door. You screw in hats of screws stronger in material that they did not act on leaf surface.
2. Remove the handle from door. Cover sheet chipboard surface with the PVA furniture glue and let's it dry up. As a result on leaf the thin layer of the dried-up glue has to be formed. Do not forget that all this should be done on vertical surface so in advance think to lay rag or sheets of the newspaper on floor. Now begin to stack leaf of interline interval on chipboard.
3. The interline interval is on sale also in hardware or furniture stores, most often for its production use birch or oak. There is also artificial interline interval which also remarkably is suitable for finishing of door. Stage of laying of interline interval – the most difficult and responsible. The interline interval is fixed on the prepared surface of chipboard by means of the hot iron. Take the iron old better not to spoil that which you iron clothes. Attach interline interval very carefully, without detaining long the iron in one point, material can be burned through, and then he will lose all the decorative effect. Other danger – you can accidentally tear off already pasted fragments.
4. Carefully cut off all protruding edges of leaf sharp knife. To give to door accurater look, stick faces with the interline interval remains. Varnish all surface of door, and then install the handle removed before finishing of door. The door trimmed with interline interval will be the real decoration of your house and will serve long. If on surface scratches or chips develop, they can always be closed, using the wax polish or special repair spray.
