As a result of distribution of cane, fertile allotments grow, streams and lakes dry and become boggy. It is difficult to fight against cane, but it is necessary. Chemical and physical methods of destruction are suitable for active fight.

1. The chemical method assumes use of herbicides for bichromatic weeds, in particular means Raundap. This means is applicable both on the land, and on coastal sites. For use of herbicide in zones of reservoirs it is necessary to part 200 g of Raundap on 7 l of water and to spray so that on leaves of cane there was dew. It is possible to use Raundap on kitchen garden provided that the cane has already got out of the earth. Raundap influences upper part of plants, does not allow it to develop and breed.
2. Its destruction by fire also belongs to chemical methods of fight against cane. The area occupied with plant is flooded with gasoline and set fire. However, it has to burn not less than an hour since the cane has long branched roots. And the fire situation in midland does not allow to resort the last years to so cardinal method though it and rather effective.
3. Its bevelling belongs to physical methods of destruction of cane. The cane develops and breeds over the soil. Therefore effective way in fight against it the bevelling of cane is considered in the early spring, at emergence of its leaves, and in the fall at their repeated emergence.
4. One more method of fight against cane on garden sites is drainage and raskisleny soils as to cane it is free in the damp and sour earth. For this purpose drainage ditches along all site dig, the cane gets out of the soil manually together with root, and the earth does not pour down for a long time and is processed by alcali-calcic solutions.
5. To destroy cane in reservoir, it is also mown in the spring and in the fall 10 cm lower than height of water. Water gets to cane stalk, and it decays on root. Minus of such method is contamination of the coastal territory the cane remains that is inconvenient for bathing or fishing.
6. If the reservoir rather big, then for its cleaning is used by dredges which wash away the root system of cane on depth the 30-50th and delete weed from bottom together with muddy deposits. Thus the reservoir goes deep, springs are cleaned, its ecosystem is updated.
