Onions fly – one of the most dangerous garden wreckers. Its larvae strike onions, garlic, leek. There are many ways of fight against this dangerous enemy which will help to preserve beds.
Instruction
1. Ret onion sets in weak solution of potassium permanganate on floor - hour before landing. Do not plant onions every year on the same place. Plant onions in the neighbourhood or on one bed with carrots. These vegetables – allies also help to get rid each other of different wreckers.
2. Cultivate the land on which onions, grow at wood ashes. It frightens off onions fly, besides, ashes are excellent fertilizer.
3. Prepare salt solution. Make the first processing when onions sprout from the earth on 5 cm. Dissolve 300 grams of salt in 10 liters of water, sprinkle onions this mix. Make the second processing in 2-3 weeks, take 450 grams of salt on water bucket. Make the third processing in three weeks after the second, bring amount of salt to 600 grams on water bucket.
4. Strew bed which the onions fly, mix of baking soda and coarse salt, in calculation 1:2 has attacked.
5. Plant onions near bed on which tomatoes since the onions fly does not transfer their smell grow. Make flower beds of the growing marigold near landings of onions. It will frighten off the wrecker.
6. Mulch bed with onions dry manure (when have only made landing).
7. Water bed with onions soap solution for which preparation use laundry soap, at the rate of 50 grams of soap on 10 liters of water.
8. Mix tobacco dust, the ground burning pepper and ashes. Strew with this mix the onions bed struck with fly. Pollinate onions tobacco dust in pure form, it is possible to mix it in half with ashes or with lime.
9. Mulch landing or crops of onions peat. The onions fly attacks such beds much less often.
10. Water the struck bed with such solution: on bucket of water take one glass of salt and two tablespoons of kerosene, water on a few under each bulb.
11. Mix sand and naphthalene, in the ratio 10:1. Strew with this mix bed which the onions fly has attacked.
