Usually small dark midges live in kitchen, but quickly move on the apartment in search of food – they can be noticed in living rooms, in the bathroom and toilet. Often midges turn around houseplants. It is possible to get rid of them in several ways.
Instruction
1. Take out garbage. As the favourite habitat of midges are a decaying plant debris, it is necessary to check all food stocks for availability of damages. Touch all stocks which lie long ago – potato, apples, pears, onions, etc. If in cabinets with provisions there are open packages of grain, seasonings or nuts, everything needs to be shaken up and to throw out the spoiled products. Check density of closing of cans with cookings or compotes.
2. In the bathroom some chemical can be food source for midges – check all cleansers. All sinks need to be cleaned and washed out – in the got stuck remains of food of midge quickly breed.
3. Place traps on the apartment. If the source is eliminated, it is necessary to catch all the remained midges. Small midges it is possible to attract with flavor of food, to entice into trap from which they will not be able to take off. Twist funnel from the sheet of paper, cut off at it tip and place in glass jar with bait. As bait it is good to use piece of the sukhofrukt or a little juice.
4. Put fruit piece, several drops of compote or damp tea bag in plastic cup. From above glass cover with food wrap and make in it openings through which midges will be able to get to capacity. Such glasses need to be placed to those places where midges most often meet.
5. Observe purity in the house. Do not leave the food remains in plates, wash the dishes at once. Daily you take out garbage, do damp cleaning, check products and delete those from them which have begun to decay. Fix sanitary problems and you watch that in drains dirt did not accumulate.
6. Process rooms special chemicals. If in the house there do not live children and pets, and you want to get rid quicker of small midges, then it is necessary to spray corners and places of congestion of the flying parasites with insecticidal medicines. Leave the apartment at several o'clock, then return, wash all surfaces and air the room.
7. Look after houseplants correctly. Water plants less often and use smaller amount of water for watering, you hold the soil slightly overdried, you loosen soil, water the earth with weak solution of potassium permanganate or soapsuds.
