Competently created system of removal of ground waters helps to make the soil to the land and to get rid of excess moisture.

Instruction

1. Define what places of your site especially need removal of waters. It is easy to make it in the early spring – on the crudest places water long does not leave, and its surplus stands on earth surface. Besides, on especially boggy sites the specific vegetation – sedge, reed-mace appears.

2. Start creation of drainage system in the summer, during the dry period when underground waters fall below. At first it is necessary to take care of safety of the top, fertile soil layer. It is removed and stacked aside. It is possible to use this opportunity for deep application of fertilizers to the soil.

3. Be defined where the water intake for underground waters will be located. It is convenient if near the site there is ravine, roadside ditch, stream, the river. If nothing from the above-mentioned is available, it is necessary to make the water intake independently — for this purpose in the right place dig well of 3-4 meters in depth.

4. Start creation of the regulating network. It consists of drainage which is opened or closed. Generally do the closed horizontal drainage, and open is located only on big sites, at the edges or even behind their border.

5. For creation of the closed horizontal drainage dig ditches of 1 meter in depth, and 35-40 cm wide, they have to have bias and messages to the water intake. Dispose drainage system at distance not closer than 1 meter to the base of the house and in 0.5 meters from fence. If the site has heavy, clay soils, the distance between ditches is done by 8-10 meters, on sandy soils — to 20 meters.

6. Arrange in ditches drainage pipes or other material which is carrying out water. The beaten brick, crushed stone of various fraction, brushwood, poles which from above cover with earth can be such material. Pipes are more durable and carry better out water, it is necessary to remember also that life cycle of the drainage ditch created with use of brushwood and other wood materials makes only 7-8 years.
