The chain chainsaw becomes necessary attribute in many homestead and small-scale farmings and construction. This high-performance unit will help to clear away garden and to prepare firewood with the smallest efforts. But all good has bad property to come to an end quickly. So happens also to chainsaws. Through quite short time depending on saw rate of exploitation, its saw chain demands sharpening. Work with not ground chain leads not only to unjustified losses of forces and resources, it also is quite dangerous. It is necessary to watch constantly condition of sharpening, the sharpness of chain gives bigger gain of performance of work, than increase in engine capacity of saw.
It is required to you
- - round file with level limiter. Its diameter depends on chain type. It can be from 3.2 mm to 5.2 mm in the diameter;
- - flat file;
- - template for exact turning of restrictive tooth;
- - vice. Their availability considerably will facilitate work when sharpening.
Instruction
1. Carefully, but it is strong, clamp the chainsaw tire in vice. Impose template on chain so that the arrows put on it, showed the direction of labor movement of chain.
2. Make two - three movements round file on the cutting tooth, using the efforts only at advance. Do not sharpen tooth at the return movement of file at all. Each tooth has to be ground by the same quantity of movements of file.
3. Miss one tooth and grind following. Repeat operation, half of the cutting teeth will not be ground yet.
4. Turn the tire across by 180 degrees and perform the described operations for other half of the cutting teeth.
5. Now saw round restrictive teeths. Being guided on template, saw round flat file each such tooth up to the necessary height. It is possible to do also without template especially as such templates enter only special sets for sharpening, but in that case, the identical height of teeths is not guaranteed. that can affect sawing accuracy.
