1. First of all choose the most suitable place for cultivation of petunia. These flowers prefer well lit, solar places. At lack of light the escapes form large number of leaves and are strongly extended, blossoming at the same time is weakened, the decorative effect is lost. If your loggia comes to South side – the petunia will become the best ornament.
2. The petunia well grows on sandy and loamy soils, but blossoms even better and develops on friable and nutritious soils. Perfectly responds on entering into soil mix of compost or humus (not fresh manure, it promotes defeat by fungal diseases). If the soil on the site sour, bring lime at the rate of 200-300 grams on one square meter.
3. Seedling should be grown up in advance. Sow ampelous petunia during the period from February to April, the earlier you plant plant, the more illumination will be required. For landing use fine soil with the small content of nutrients and small cartridges, thus, it is possible to do without sword-play. When the petunia releases 3-4 strong leaves, replace in small pots. Optimum temperature for growth of 18-20 degrees.

5. Plant seedling to the open ground in the evening or in cloudy weather, previously having watered pots with plants. The distance between seedling of petunia has to make 25-30 centimeters. In containers, vases or balcony flower boxes the distance can be reduced by one and a half times. After successful disembarkation water the soil, and mulch soil humus or peat. Mulching will help to protect flowers from frosts and will allow the earth to keep humidity longer.
6. Further care for petunia consists in scarification, weeding and waterings in droughty weather. Periodically (once in 10-15 days) you bring feeding up, blossoming duration will depend on these factors. Feed up granules, scattering them around flowers during wet weather, or mineral fertilizers, previously having dissolved in water for watering. Organic fertilizers yield good result (humic fertilizers or infusion of mullein).
