1. Buying seeds, pay attention to viability indicator. It has to be not lower than 40-50%. Do not ""sink down"" on colourfully issued packing: the quality of seeds is not connected with beautiful registration. Pay attention to realization term, agrotechnical data, the description.
2. Prepare substat. For cultivation of cacti prepare mix from the cespitose and sheet earth, humus, peat and coarse bank sand in the volume relation 2:1:2:2:4. This ratio can be changed depending on specific accessory of plant. It is possible to use following mineral substat. For its preparation mix one third of the good garden soil, one third of peat and one third of sand with addition of wood charcoal and clay.
3. Prepare suitable capacity. Cacti do not love at all big, deep pots because they have not really big root system. For landing you will choose superficial flat dish with good drainage holes. The excessive number of the damp earth will become obligatory nutrient medium for uncountable fungi and putrefactive bacteria.
4. Prepare workplace. There has to be the maximum purity. All - ware, the tool, substat for crops has to be subjected to thermal or chemical treatment. Scald pot boiled water, wash out seeds in potassium permanganate solution.
5. Fill pot or flat dish with the soil, slightly trample down finger-tips or plate and water with small amount of water. Seeds which diameter less than 1 mm, sow on the surface of the soil. But there are cacti, for example, prickly pear which have seeds quite large, with dense peel. You hold crops at temperature of 27-35 degrees at the increased air humidity and the substat. If in ten days the seeds have not sprouted, try to lift temperature to 40 degrees, reducing it at night to 25. Use for this purpose hot-water bottle, but not in which case do not water with hot water. It is possible to use such procedure two times.
8. As soon as on seedlings there are first needles, start sword-play. The earth and ware are taken for this purpose same, as well as for crops. Dive seedlings with earth lump (in order to avoid damage of root system). Seedlings have at distance the 3-6th from each other and on such depth that cotyledons were on the surface of the soil. Very long roots can be prishchipyvat - it promotes formation of side roots. The subsequent sword-play is held still twice: everyone in 1.5-2 months. Surely do good drainage. After change do not water plant 3-4 days to avoid rotting.
